John was an old friend, neighbor on Washington's Landing, and true Pittsburgh guy. Tough, on the outside but a warm, giving friend on the inside. RIP John.

I have such fond memories of John from high school. We were in the same homeroom and he sat across from me. What an interesting life he had! He did much more than most people do. My thoughts and prayers are with his family now. God bless you John!

A fast and long friendship formed when I was introduced to the Wargo family when they opened the Voodoo Lounge in the strip district. Very sad to hear of the John's passing, much too young, as much as it is sad it has to be a welcome relief he no longer has to suffer as he had the last several months. My deepest sympathies to the ENTIRE Wargo family

I remember when John came down to the office to ask me what was my favorite color. When I told him blue he said "a little something for taking care of my Dad". To this day it hangs over my bed. Wish I could be with you Nancy and Mrs. Wargo. At least I am there in spirit. Tell Amy that John loved his son more than anything in this world. Rest in peace John. With love, Juanita (manager of The Racquet Club Apartments)

So sorry. John was one of the reasons Pittsburgh is such a special place. A larger than life personality, always smiling. I'll miss seeing him on Washington's Landing and not kayaking with him.

So sorry for your loss. My sympathies. I remember John from the Voodoo Lounge. Great place. He made it good. I remember the large red tailed catfish he had. I also remember him from Golds gym "years" ago. He was a very nice person. God bless his soul. Sheryl Branovan (Jones).
