On Tuesday, April 26, 2016, Barbara A. (Crowley), age 77, of Baldwin Boro. Loving mother of Donna (Rich) Caponi, Raymond (Tricia) Abbiatici, Michael (Kerry) Abbiatici, and Robert (MaryBeth) Abbiatici; grandmother of Rich (Emily), Matt (Kathleen), and Lisa Caponi, Raymond III and Jack Abbiatici, Kaylin and Nolan Abbiatici, Sarah, RJ, and Anna Abbiatici; great- grandmother of Richard "Rocco" Caponi; sister of Jill Katchmar, Mary Alice Crowley, and Betty Jane Crowley; also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews and friends; beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Abbiatici, Sr.; longtime companion of Ronald "Mike" Grubesky. Barbara was a retired secretary at Baldwin High School. Friends received Wednesday 4-8 p.m. and Thursday 2-8 p.m. at the GRIFFITH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5636 Brownsville Road (at 6th St.), South Park Twp., (412) 655-4600. Funeral Prayer Friday 12:15 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 1 p.m. Condolences may be offered for the family at www.GriffithFH.com.

The loss of my sister Barb leaves a BIG hole in our lives. It will be difficult to drive past her street and not turn onto it, after all, it has been over 50 years that she lived there. I already feel the emptiness she leaves in our heart. Not always able to visit regularly but she was there in my thoughts. I [we] have lost a pillar of strength. Mike and Family,

Bob...please accept my condolences. I remember your Mom from our days at Baldwin. She was a super nice lady. I thought how cool it was back then that you were able to see your Mom all the time, whenever you wanted. I'm sure you felt otherwise. May she, and all mothers, rest in peace.
