Tish and the Wideman boys,
I was just sitting today and thought of your Mom and God guided me to the obt's. I don't know if you remember me, (I worked with Bette at Augie's florist downtown for years.) I loved her like a mother, she spoke so many words of wisdom and we laughed and cried together for so many reasons. We only kept up by mail on the holidays and usually Birthdays, because as life would have it everyone is in a rush! She loved you all and was so proud of you all. I feel as thou I have known you all my life... This has been a difficult time for me this year I have lost both sisters 51/2 months apart, and it will take a while for the healing process, I feel your pain along with mine, but if she and my sisters aren't in heaven I know I'll never get there. God Bless you all and may He hold you in the palm of His hand until we all are united again.

"Aunt Tish,"
I just saw this & I am so sorry that I didn't know about your beautiful Mom passing away. Please, know that you & the entire family are in my prayers. (My sister Carmen would also like to convey her sympathy & send her prayers to Tameka, as she also deals with this loss.) Please, know that each of you is lifted in our prayers. God bless you & keep you.

I always marveled at the grace of Mrs. Wideman and will always treasure memories of the visits I used to make to see her at the flower shop during the time when it was my privilege to represent her son Robert.

To Tamkea & Family,
I just learned of your Grand-mother's passing today. Miss Bette was a nice lady. Find comfort in knowing that she has now re-joined an elite group of family and friends that have gone before her. know that she is now residing in the Kingdom of the Heavenly Father she has served throughout her life. Pray to God for peace and comfort. Trust me he will see you through. God Bless You All.
Love,

To The Wideman Family:
It is with great saddness learning of the passing of your mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. We have known the French family (maiden name) for over 70 years and spent many moments enjoying them throughout the years. John (Spanky) you and the rest of the family are in our prayers and may GOD see you through these troubled times.

I have experienced no greater blessing in my life than to have been able to embrace and love Bette as my Mom, and to have felt her embrace and love me as a daughter. She taught me love. Whether in our chats over our cups of morning coffee in the quiet of early morning before anyone else awakened; or in our telephone chats when we told family stories and shared our visions of current local, national, and world news; or in the daily moments when I have silently summoned Bette into my thoughts and heart -- she grew me stronger and better with her extraordinary wisdom and unusual grace. She lives as vividly and vitally in my heart now, as she always has. And I feel her with me this morning, sitting here in an early snowy Maine dawn, with my cup of coffee, awash with memories and gratitude for my Bette, my Gam, my Mom.

To Tish and family, I am truely sorry to hear of the homegoing of your mother. Having gone through this recently myself, I understand the heart heaviness, but please know that I keep you in prayer, and stand with you as you were with me in my time of sorrow.
God Bless and continue to keep you all in His loving care.
