On April 17, 2009, husband of Rose (Mailki) Codan & the late Dorothy (Dott) Codan; father of George Kenneth Codan of Pittsburgh & Linda (Dan) Haizlett of McCandless; step-father of Maureen (Michael) Secilia of Kittanning & Michael Whalen of North Carolina; brother of Millicent (Mike) Babics, Marie (the late Ed) Haug, Daniel (the late Amy) Codan, Miriam (the late Leo) Ziolkowski, the late Angeline (the late Ted) Raynovich & the late Peter (the late Helen) Codan; grandfather of Sean Codan, Brooke Haizlett & Brad Haizlett; step-grandfather of Erin Secilia & Mikaela Whalen; also survived by one great-granddaughter, Bailey Haizlett. Friends welcome Monday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, 388 Center Ave, West View, where Services will be held Tues. at 10 a.m. A WWII Navy Veteran, George was awarded a Purple Heart Cluster, retired from Duquesne Light Co. & was a member of VFW Post 2754.
