HOWARD KLEIN Obituary
Howard Klein, 76, of Fair Oaks, PA, passed away on February 13, 2011, after a long illness. His parents, E. Roy and Mary Ruth Klein predeceased him. Howard is survived by his sisters, Patricia Diane Zujkowski, New Port Richey, FL; her sons, William and Joseph; Barbara Klein, Troy, PA, her daughter Julia; also Howard's son, Gary Paul; and grandchildren, Carl Paul, and Emily Anne, of Indiana, PA; and Howard's good friends, the Smiley family, Sue, Mark, Mary Jo and Don, of Sewickley, PA. A Korean War Veteran, Howard served in the US Navy from 1953 to 1956. He operated a business as a commercial diver, doing underwater salvage, demolition, inspection, and repair in Pittsburgh's three rivers. He was a member of the VFW, the Explorers Club of Pittsburgh, the local caving clubs, and was a Scuba instructor during the 1970's. No Visitation is planned, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Howard was a good friend of my parents. When I was a very small child I idolized him. We had a friendship and mutual admiration that lasted into my adult life. Since I married and moved to the East end of the city, I would see Howard on the rare occasions when I visited my parents....usually when I would take them to Eat 'n Park. He was always a delightful, lovable and larger-than-life character. I am sorry for your loss.
