Sharon,

Please accept my deepest Sympathy. John was truly a treasure. The sincere passion he had for radio was amazing and inspiring. John was SO happy to be a part of Metro Networks and KQV, and he reminded of me that on a daily basis. I let him know how glad we were to have such a conscientious, passionate, kind, and dedicated person working with us.

John loved his job, the Pirates, YOU and Life itself. He was an inspiration to me and the people he worked with at the Traffic Management Center at Penndot.

We shared many stories together and the last time I spoke to him, I told him I was still taking my Fish Oil on a Daily basis as suggested. He laughed and told me to KEEP taking it. I think of John on a LOT of different occassions, and I think of him on a Daily basis when I take my Fish Oil. I am a better person for having known John and a healthier one too.

He is missed very much and will continue to live in our memories. His gentle way, passion for people, and his AMAZING kind soft spoken voice.

Know that You were THE love of his life, Sharon, he cared for you more than any man I have known could care and love a woman.

Sharon;

Please accept my deepest sympathy over John's loss. I have worked wtih a lot of people in 25 years of radio and I never met a more gentle, kind and spirited man than John. To the last time we spoke he thanked me for giving him a shot to live out the dream of being on the air in a major market. All that time I should have been thanking him. Thanking him for the example he showed all of us every day of how a gentle man leads a life well lived.

Sharon, I am so sorry to read about John in the paper, I worked with him at Radio Shack for a number of years, he called me after my heart attack, it made me feel so good, I wish I had known he was ill. I will always remember him and his voice, he will be greatly missed.

I'm so sad to hear about John. When I met him in college while he was General Manager of WPTS-FM, you couuld always count on being greeted with that effervescent smile. Our paths would cross many times since then over the years, and John was always someone you could count on for advice, a smile, and friendship. His talents and great sense of humor no doubt helped him and his family through his final, difficult days. He will be deeply missed by all of us who knew him.

Sharon,

We just wanted to let you know how sorry we are. Both you and John have been wonderful neighbors…to us and to Aunt Millie. She always looked forward to talking with you and John over the years. We will miss John sorely as our neighbor and our friend. We will certainly miss talking Pirates baseball with John! If there is anything that we can do, please do not hesitate to ask. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sincerely,

Rob and Erin
