88, of North Huntingdon, died Friday, July 14, 2006 in the Mercy Jeannette Hospital. He was born Jan. 29, 1918 in Braddock, a son of the late Michael and Elizabeth Handza Novotny. Prior to his retirement he was employed for Westinghouse Electric as an Electrical Tester with 35 yrs service. He was a member of the Church of The Immaculate Conception in Irwin. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Stella M. Grimes Novotny, and sisters Mary Kuzma, Barbara Duris, Betty Chila, Anna Megahan and a sister-in-law Millie Novotny. Loving father of John Robert "Red" Novotny of N. Huntingdon, James Edward "Flake" Novotny of White Oak, father-in-law of Diana Novotny of N. Huntingdon, grandfather of Teresa and Heather Novotny of N. Huntingdon, great-grandfather of Tony, Emily and Sydney and brother of Clarence "Babe" Novotny of West Mifflin and Ellen Blachly of Iowa and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 6-8PM Sat and 2-4 & 6-8PM Sun. at the JF OTT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 504 Oak Street, Irwin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Mon. in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Interment in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, N. Huntingdon.
