My father lived at Fair Oaks, just across the hall from Laverne. I would see Laverne almost every time I visited my father as she was always socializing in various places around the building. My dad has since moved out for more care, but I was saddened to learn a few days ago of Laverne's passing. She was a sweet lady, always in search of company, socializing and of course, Bingo. Dad and I played the big Fair Oaks Bingo with her over the winter and Laverne was one of the big winners that evening. She was so proud.
Herb Cartiff (dad) and I send our deepest condolences to you. May Laverne live happily in your memory.
