GUALA
LOIS ANN
Of Hopwood, PA passed away on the morning of January 10, 2017, at the age of 76. She was a beloved mother, wife and friend to many, who died with the great affection of all who knew her. As a Registered Nurse in the Uniontown area for 50 years, she touched hundreds of lives, especially among the many children that she helped deliver at Uniontown Hospital in the 1960's and the patients and staff of Fayette Urological Associates in the last three decades of her career. She and her husband, Jerry, also started Buckles and Jug Antiques, in Hopwood, in the early 1970's. It was a true passion with them, spending most weekends at shows for many years, buying and selling antiques and visiting with their many friends in the business. She built a reputation as an expert in several areas of antiques, including buttons, crocks and her beloved miniatures, but she was best known for her extensive knowledge of ephemera, especially postcards and advertisements. In addition, she displayed an artistic talent resulting in numerous pieces of jewelry made from antique buttons and other objects and several dried flower arrangements that have graced the halls and boardrooms of many fine offices in the Pittsburgh area. She is survived by her loving children, Gerald, Jr. and Amy; and her sister, Joyce. A joint memorial service for her and Jerry who passed in 2012 is being planned for this Spring, friends and family will be contacted with the details. Arrangements are under the direction of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, PA.

My husband George was best man at her wedding.
Her father married George and me.
My mother is a resident at Hillside Manor. I always looked forward to talking to her, when I visited my mom. I miss seeing and visiting with her.
