MICHAEL J.
On August 25, 2016, a lifelong resident of Braddock Hills, ended his courageous cancer battle with his loving family at his side. Mike worked tirelessly generating two local businesses in the borough, "Helping Handrails" and "Emeny Corporation", as well as, Automotive Service in Swissvale. His dedication to the betterment of community inspired him to serve two terms on council. He was committed to representing the best interests of the citizens. His is survived by Terry (Rocco), his wife of 52 years; beloved father of Michael (Lynn), Catherine, and Danielle (Van); and very proud grandfather of Jianna, Danny, Megan, and Matthew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Ann Evonich; his sisters, Ann Wynoop, Nancy Coleman (Walt); brother, George (Ruth). He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends received at ROBERT P. KARISH FUNERAL HOME, Brinton Rd. and Fourth St., Braddock Hills (412-271-3430), MONDAY 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held on Tues. at 12 noon.

Words cannot convey the emptiness I feel with the loss of Mike. He was like another older brother to me. I always felt like you two were the perfect couple. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am just sorry that I moved away and did not visit as frequently as I did when I was younger.
