BONCHAK OLGA

Age 91, passed away on Saturday, August 3rd, 2019.  She was born on September 19th, 1927 to Michael and Julia Wozniak of McKees Rocks, PA.  She grew up with her older sister, Amelia, on "Churchill". She married William Bonchak on May 31st, 1947.  They were married 57 years.  Together they had three children, Diane, Lois and William Jr.  She was a lifetime member of the St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church and member of the Sisterhood and UOL Choir.  She was "Gramma" to her grandchildren and "Bubbie" to her great and great-great-grandchildren.  She spoiled us all with her cooking, homemade pierogi and The World's best Chocolate Chip Cookies!  She lived most of her life in McKees Rocks and just recently moved to Ohio to be close to her family.  She enjoyed going out to eat, playing Bingo, getting her nails done at the salon and playing Peek-A-Boo with Addy. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Amelia Kriger.  She is survived by her three children, Diane (Robert) Franchi, Lois Kalinsky, William Bonchak, Jr. (Joyce).  Five grandchildren, April (John) Jordan, Kim (Christopher) Glover, Adam Franchi (Liza), Shaun Kalinsky and Tanya Kalinsky.  Seven great-grandchildren, Daniel (Ryan) Wells, Michael Nunez (Somer), Jessica (Brandon) Sparks, Carly Glover, Kendall Glover, Chris Jordan and Adaiada Franchi.  And one great-great-grandson, Jamison Wells. Family and Friends may call on Wednesday, August 7th, 2019, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, August 8th, 2019, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at VALERIAN F. SZAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 238 Helen Street, McKees Rocks, PA 15136 with a service at St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church at 1:15 p.m. and graveside service following.
