SCHMIDT
RAYMOND H., Jr.
Peacefully with his loved ones at his side, Raymond Schmidt, of Longwood at Oakmont, age 94, died on September 20, 2014. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Gertrude Schmidt; and his sister, Virginia Headrick. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Madeline; his sister-in-law, Henrietta (James) Capano of Green Brook, NJ; and many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. Ray served in the U.S. Army Air Force as an adjutant and administrating officer. He was discharged with a rank of Captain in 1946. His life's career was in finance and he retired from UBS. Our most sincere thanks are given to all the nurses and aids for their love and care given to Raymond while at Longwood's Hanna Health Center-a great big thank you also to Family Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to the ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME, 378 Maryland Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Memorial contributions may be made to Feed The Hungry at www.feedthehungry.org. Online condolences may be made at:

Dear Madeline -- Ray will be remembered this Sunday in our prayers at St. Andrew's Church in Highland Park. It was a pleasure and a privilege to know him and both of you. May he rest in peace and rise in glory. --Bruce Robison
