RUTH
Age 84, on Tues., Mar. 28, 2006. Dedication to her family who survived her was her greatest joy: Saul, her loving companion for 60 years; her three children, Laird, Carol, and David; her grandchildren, Yara and Alejandro, all of whom will be forever grateful for her unwavering love throughout their lives. No visitation. Interment private. The family requests that those who wish to honor her legacy do so through contributions to a scholarship fund established in her name at the Center of American Music, University of Pittsburgh. Checks should be made out to: The University of Pittsburgh with Ruth Bergad Fund, Center for American Music noted in the memo line, and sent to: Pitt Annual Fund, 500 Craig Hall, 200 S.
