Dearest Luke and Coral:

Everyone's beliefs are different and that is fine, however, one thing I know for certain is that you, your family and Sam touched Bobby's life so deeply. No matter how sick I get, I remind Bobby to think of you, Sam and your family. I was always taught "that no matter how bad off you are, there is always someone worse off than you." That is what keeps me going. I have always had such a foundness for children and pets. I truly believe that children are God's Angels and if we only, STOP,WATCH AND LISTEN, we can learn a daily lesson from each and everyone of them. I am so sorry I did not have the honor of meeting Sam, however from what Bobby tells me, Sam and all of your children are wonderful. He thinks you truly have the greatest family. Trust me, we don't live up to that at all. Please remember, that no matter how strong your faith in God is, you deserve to and must go through a mourning process;I'm sure you know that. Please know that if you ever need to chat, Bobby and I are always available. God Bless you and yours.

Sincerely,

The Reed Family; Bob, Ursula and Ashley

Dear Brother Sam and Family,

With Heartfelt Sympathy to you and your family on the passing of young Sam. The loss of smeone so young is very difficult. I still remember the loss of my brother at 2 days old and how his death affected our family. To our God a life time can be as short as 2 days, 14 years or 89 years. Only God knows why? Loss at any age is difficult for those of us here on earth. Our comfort is in knowing that our loved ones are now in heaven with our Lord. Our prayers are with you and your family.

God bless you and your family at this very difficult time.

Fraternally yours, Carl F. Lander, Jr., P.M. McKeesport Lodge No. 641

Lucas, Coral, Carissa and Micah,

I remember meeting Sam for the first time very well. Sam was looking for a present for Micah. I was struck by Sam's powerful desire to bring happiness to his brother.

I remember Lucas telling me how Sam gave a Penguins autographed stick to one of his teachers because she was a huge Pens fan.

I remember visiting with Casey and Sam jokingly complaining about Casey's bad breath.

I remember hiring Sam to build the Screamin' Serpent for our store display. And how much fun Natalie and I had coming to the house to pick it up.

And I remember Coral and Sam visiting us at Zany Brainy and how Sam would light up my day.

Mostly, I remember knowing for too short a time a very courageous young man.

I love and miss you, Samuel.

Peace,

Daniel Todorich

To Coral and Family,

I am very sad to hear of Sam's passing. Ever since we at Zany have met all of you, we have found all of you to be delightful, especially Sam. We looked forward to your visits, and loved Sam's inspiring comments. No matter what we were going through in our personal lives, Sam always said something to make us all put it into perspective. He had the biggest heart of anyone I knew, and the greatest sense of humor. His smile only added to the experience. He was a true gift to all of us, and he will be missed. We will remember him always, and continue to learn from our experiences with him.

Dear Coral,

I work at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation and thankfully met you and Sam back in March at Master Caruso's Board Break-a-thon. I had heard so many wonderful things about you and your family from Dan and Linda Martin, so it was truly a pleasure to meet you in person.

I send along my deepest sympathy and lots of prayers. I know you will miss Sam more than any words can describe. I also could see that you savored every moment with him. I'm sure his spirit will live on in you and your family. May God bless you as you learn to live without Sam's physical presence.

We at the hospital are most grateful that you have included Pennies from Heaven as a beneficiary for memorial gifts. Please don't hesitate to call me if there is anything I can do to help.

Most sincerely,

Carol Ashby

I want to thank you for the privilege of knowing Sammy.

Though I feel God's presence in all children—God's light shone ever so brightly from Sammy each time I had the pleasure of being in his company.

He was a beautiful young man.

He will remain always in my heart.

I was lucky enough to meet Sam in drama class at WPSD. He told me about his Happy Song and the dance that went with it. He promised he would sing this happy song, and dance for me one day - I know he is dancing and singing today.
