So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Markatone.
He had been a long time patient of ours.
He was a very quiet and kind man.
He always would remind me of the dates for the Greek Food Festivals.
Remember all the good times and cherish it in your hearts forever.

Sam was a terrific gardener! I remember the time Sam borrowed my groundhog trap to get the culprit who ate his Zucchini plant (he was so mad about that groundhog after all his hard work to grow the plant). Within an hour after I dropped it off, he called me for help, as the groundhog had died in the trap and he couldn't lift the trap. This puzzled me until I saw the size of this animal, dead with one eye missing, in the trap. It was the largest groundhog I ever saw, and it must have weighed 50 or 60 pounds! We enjoyed a good laugh together, knowing we kept the Granddaddy of the neighborhood from eating our gardens anymore! I still smile when I think of his incredible vegetable gardens. He didn't just have a green thumb - he had a green arm! I will miss him dearly...
