ESTES NICOLA ELEANOR

Age 81 of Penn Hills, PA departed this life peacefully on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Seneca Place Nursing Home in Penn Hills, PA. She was the first of six children born to Nathaniel, Jr. and Alice Dunn. Nickie graduated from St. Rafael High School. She was a dedicated and hardworking member of St. Charles Lwanga Parish, formerly Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Homewood, PA. On June 30, 1962 Nickie married Andrew J. Estes and to this union a daughter, Janica Maria Estes was born. Nicola was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Nathaniel, III; and two sisters, Patricia Dawson and Barbara Jean who died at birth. Family and Guests were received at Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 7705 Bennett Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15208 on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Interment was held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 7601 Mt. Carmel Road, Verona, PA 15147. Services entrusted to SPRIGGS-WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 720 Lang Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15206.

My deepest condolences to Jack, Janica, Theresa, Stevie and other family members & friends of Nickie Dunn Estes. As a long-time family friend, we will miss her calm, kind, understanding and unassuming presence forever. She is at peace, Resting with God and family in heaven.

Dear Jack and Janica,

Nicki was a wonderful person; she was one of my favorite persons. Earth's loss is Heaven's gain.
Your in my prayers and I sent Fr. Taylor a Mass request for Nicki.
