FORBES DR. RAYMOND C.
Age 69, of Pleasant Hills, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2011. He is survived by his sons Terry and Darren Forbes and their mother Phyllis Forbes, his twin brother Robert and brother Wayne. He is the son of the late Robert and Charlotte Forbes. Raymond was a graduate of Clairton High School and Washington and Jefferson College. He received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh. Raymond was a lieutenant in the US Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He practiced Dental Medicine for many years in Braddock Hills, Pleasant Hills and Carrick. In addition to general dentistry, he had a keen interest in nutritional analysis and he incorporated that into his dental practice. He continued to practice in Pleasant Hills until the time of his death. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. Interment to follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.

I met Dr. Forbes a few years ago through his work with the Dr. Melvin Page health system. Dr. Forbes was somewhat of an expert on the Page way of balancing the body and improving health as he had actually gone down to Florida in the early 1970'S and studied and trained with Page at the famed Page clinic! I believe Dr. Page and his method for improving health made a big impression on Dr. Forbes as he was putting videos on YOU TUBE, writing books, and training people in the Page method for years after Dr. Page had passed on!

Dr. Forbes generously shared his time and knowledge of the Page method with me and many others over the years and was a true humanitarian! You could tell he wasn't in it for the money but sincerely just wanted to help people improve their health!

THANK YOU Dr. Forbes for your help! May you rest in peace knowing that you did a great job in spreading the word of the late great Dr. Melvin Page and his method of balancing the body so one can maintain and restore health!

Hey Ray, I know you are watching over everyone. I wish you could have stayed a little longer to see your kids grown up. Not fair. You were an independent thinker and I applaud you for all the research you did on behalf of the welfare of your friends and family. Just heard about Dr Forbes passing I worked for him for 5 years and he was a wonderful person and very talented at dentistry my condolences go out to the family .

We are very sorry to hear of your loss. Know that your family is in our prayers. I was in Ray's Clairton High School class and my Husband,from Indiana PA, attended Pitt Dental School with him. We always looked froward to seeing him at the HS reunions. God keep you safe and healing.

Dear Phyllis, Terry, Darren and family. I had a bad May myself, and unfortunately I did not hear about Ray's passing until Paula made an appt with Noel Amurgis just recently. My deepest sympathy to you. Ray was an extremely wonderful and talented person. Also a joy to work for and with. Paula would see Ray often. Take care and best wishes always.

We were so shocked and saddened to hear of Dr Forbes' death. We appreciated his guidance with the Dr Melvin Page hormone balancing work. It helped our health so much. We will miss him very much. Our sincere condolences to his family.

Dr. Forbes treated myself and husband for over 20 years. We both thought the world of him . Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and Darlene who was a wonderful assistant. We will miss him very much. I am sorry we didn't find out till yesterday

Dear Phyllis, Terry and Darren,
Our prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. Serving with Ray on the CHS Class of 59 reunion committee, was always a fun because of Ray's great sense of humor. By his stories at meetings, it was easy to tell that he loved you all very much and was proud to broadcast that to folks he encountered. We were especially blessed when Terry and Darren would also attend our meetings, and help with the planning and doing. Ray will be missed, not only by us on the committee, by everyone who were privileged to know him. May God give you peace and comfort as you work your way through your loss. Ray was a life long friend, dentist and fraternity brother. His leadership skills were displayed as the President of the ATO Fraternity at Washington and Jefferson College in the early 60's. He also had a great deal of musical talent. He was able to direct a group of individuals, many who could not carry a tune in a bucket, to win the Intrafraternity Greek Sing competition two years in a row. We have enjoyed many reunions with our friends and their families from college over the years.

He will be missed as a friend and as our dentist for over forty years.

Dr. Forbes treated my children and myself with the best of care, and will be missed very much. It will certainly be difficult to find a dentist who will make everything so easy and painless.
