I have known Sheldon since he was 15 years old. He "loved" cars. I remember when he would seek out neighbors to wash their cars. He really didn't want to wash them but it was his way to get the keys to drive it to the back of his house to do the wash. He would do anything to get behind the wheel.
Sheldon was an accomplished bass violin player. I remember fondly our times in Peabody High School orchestra (4) years.
He was always a half full type of guy. Never a bad word was said about anybody.
I remember when he left for St. Charles, LA (I think). We were just about finished with high school. Brother Lawrence saved his life and got him turned around with school and that's when Sheldon's life took off. He was focused and pursued life like a laser light.
Sheldon, you will be missed.
Your friend,
Larry M

I have known Shelly since the early 70's and always consider Shelly a close freind and had a great working relationship with him. I was shocked to find out his pasing today. I am sorry I didnt find out sooner.
We worked together for years in the car business. He always made my day bright and many times gave me the lift for the day that I needed. His humor was the best. Never said anything but good about everyone. He always made the best of every situation. I will always remember his sicere smile.
We worked together at Bob Delancey Lincoln Mercury were Shelly started his career in the automobile business. Together we both fell in love with cars. Bob Delancey took us under his wing and brought out the best in both of us. Shelly's love for people and cars became a daily experiance and grew the love for both of us.
On behalf of my Wife Donna , Myself and Both children Mike and David we send our condolences to the family. Shelly was a co-worker freind and buddy to my entire family and I will always remember our days together.
My family has lost two parents this year and know the heart break. It takes time to get thru these things and as they all make the way for the rest of us, their memories keep the love and give us the strenth to continue.
Well Shelly you will be missed.

From the first time we met as 8 year olds in Hebrew School at B'nai Israel, Sheldon has been a life long friend. During the High Holidays we would head out to Baum Blvd to see the new cars that were just getting into the showrooms. Skipping out on Sunday School class just to end up in Mr. Spitz office. To your unbelievable joy when your first niece was born, and, you were shocked to learn how babies came into the world from start to finish.
Your wedding to Ronna, the cute girl who lived up the street from me. The births of Billie and Tracy. By the time Billie was born, you knew how babies were made.
Sitting in Shul with Laurie and me, you had to remind Laurie what you found in a drawer; Cantor Joe is waiting for you Shel.
These are the times, and, there are many, many more that I will never forget that we shared dear friend.
Your 17 year marriage to Janet were more happy years for you. And of course, your on going, never ending love affair with automobiles.
Your Mom was so sweet to put up with all the stunts we pulled over our learning years. And your big brother Lawrence, when I saw him in September....now that is what I will say is a big brother who was there for his little brother, to comfort you in your time of need.
Sheldon, rest easy my friend your battle is over. There are so many lives you have touched, you will always be in our thoughts. My one regret, we never took that walk across your living room this coming Spring as promised we would do together.
May your family be at Peace with the knowledge of how much you were LOVED and will be MISSED.
I will see you down the road Old Buddy and we will take that walk together!!!

On behalf of my husband Charles and myself, I want to say that Sheldon was a special person. We first met Sheldon at the poker tournament at his house and he made us feel like he had known us all our lives. The hospitality that he and his wife showed us every year was tops. I am so sorry and sad that this man who was so full of life is now gone. Our thoughts are with you. Let us know if we can be of assistance at your time of need, now and in the future.

My condolences to all of you. I am a cousin from Florida who had not seen Sheldon since we were children. He had however been in touch and sold my Dad Jos. Hepner a car in recent years. My Mom had kept in touch with Selma. May he now rest in PEACE

Janet and family, Jaime and I are so sorry to hear the news. He has a special place in my heart, he gave me a chance and got me back in the car business. I would not be where I am if he didn't believe in me. I enjoyed running into him and chatting at Butler. Rest in peace Shelly, you will be missed.

I was so sad to read of Sheldon's passing. I bought a car from Sheldon several years ago, and I just loved his larger-than-life personality. We were thinking about gettting a new car this year, and I was planning to head right back to see Sheldon.
Please know that he touched many lives in a positive way. I am so sorry for your loss.
