JOSEPH SUDOL Obituary
JOSEPH
Peacefully on Sunday, February 10, 2013, from complications due to pneumonia. He would have turned 97 the following Monday. A native of Wlodzimierz, Poland, Mr. Sudol was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Polish infantry during the Blitzkrieg of 1939. He served as a P.O.W. in Germany until the end of the war and emigrated to the United States in 1950. Mr. Sudol worked as a cabinetmaker and was a proud member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local #165. He leaves behind his wife, Eva of 43 years; three children, Kasia (Dan) Holland, Joseph Sudol, and Lidia (Peter) Newton; as well as two grandchildren, Konrad and Adela Holland. Mr. Sudol loved to spend time with his family, read, and sit in the sun. He inspired everyone to stay healthy and to exercise. He was a wonderful chef who made the best pierogi in Pittsburgh! Friends received at McCABE BROS., INC. FUNERAL HOME, 6214 Walnut Street, Shadyside on Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. Please gather at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9 a.m. A Blessing Service will follow in the Temple of Memories at Allegheny Cemetery at 10 a.m.
