Age 86, of Castle Shannon, on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Beloved husband for 55 years of Clara (Macino) Stawowczyk; devoted father of Rosanne Wilt (Dan), Clare Frederick (Scott), John J. Stawowczyk, Paul Stawowczyk ( Michelle), Sharon Boss (Dan) and Tina Niggel (Bill); brother of Edward Stawowczyk (Ann) and the late Mary Michalic, Helen Moore and Josephine Heverly; loving grandfather of Ryan, John, Tyler, Justin and Andrea Wilt; Alexandra Frederick; Daniel Stawowczyk; Kyle and David Stawowczyk; Zachary , Matthew and Deanna Boss; Nicolas (Sylvia) Stawowczyk; Chelsea Niggel ; great grandfather of Landon John Stawowczyk; also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was a veteran in WW II, retired from Pittsburgh Atlas Photo Engraving Local 27 M and was a life long member of St. Anne Parish. Friends will be welcomed at LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon THURSDAY EVENING 6-8 p.m. and FRIDAY 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Anne Church, Saturday, morning at 9:30. Interment St. Anne Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Saint Anne Church 400 Hoodridge Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15234.

Uncle John was an amazing and gentle person. My grandmother, Mary always spoke so highly of him. Everytime he played golf at the South Park course, he made sure to stop by to say hello to me at the club house. You will be greatly missed. Heaven lucked out with receiving a wonderful new angel. Hugs to everyone in the family.
