DOROTHY THOMAS Obituary
Of North Huntingdon, age 62, passed away at home on March 31, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Lois and the late Thomas Hatfield, Sr. and was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Byrne. She is survived by her husband, Benjamin F. Thomas, Jr.; her children, Thomas Nebel and William (Jamie) Nebel, both of Chalfant, Amy (Matt) Herzog of Manor, Bronwyn (Jeremy) Adams of Turtle Creek, Cristina (David) Klein of Monroeville, and Randy (Jamie) Thomas of Carlisle; her brothers, Thomas (Michelle) Hatfield and John (Marci) Hatfield, both of North Huntingdon, and Daniel (Dorothy) Hatfield of Sevierville, TN; 17 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Trafford Congregation. Dottie was a Women's Amateur Billiards International Champion. She enjoyed her vacation home in Ft. Myers and traveling to Las Vegas. She always loved a party and will be remembered for her sense of humor and great generosity. Most of all, Dottie loved her grandchildren, family and friends and will be deeply missed. Friends welcome Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME, TURTLE CREEK/MONROEVILLE CHAPEL, 1111 Monroeville Ave. at James St., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350. A Funeral Service will be held in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Trafford on Saturday at 1 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Forbes Hospice, 4800 Friendship Ave., Pgh., PA 15224.

Ben and family,
I am deeply saddened by the loss of the nicest, most generous woman that I have ever met. I could write a book accounting for the things she has done for so many, especially me. She was solely responsible for making a positive impact on my life and so many others. I will NEVER forget Dottie Thomas. May she rest in peace, as my condolences go out to the entire family.

Amy, Bronwyn, Tommy and Billy,
I am saddened by your moms passing and want you to know that each of you.... And your family...are in my prayers. I have great memories of her during our childhood. Thinking back, I can still picture her in that HUGE Cadillac. :). Hold on to your memories, they will comfort you in the years to come. Know that she is watching over you....
