SAMUEL AMATO Obituary
Age 74, of Penn Hills, on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Carole; father of Lisa Marie (Carl "Butch") Lang, Gina (Robert) Hobrat; grandfather of Christopfer, and Denis Lang and Justin Hobrat. Sam and his late wife, Carole took much pride in their business, Amato's Nursery, which they owned and operated. By working together and building their business, they got the chance to watch it blossom and share in something they both loved and enjoyed. Friends received in WILLIAM F. GROSS FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 11735 Frankstown Rd. (at Rodi Rd.), Penn Hills, TUESDAY ONLY 2-4 and 6 until the time of the Blessing Service at 8 p.m.

So sorry to hear of Carole and Sammy's passing. They were such kind folks and always welcomed my father Lee and son Zac at the nursery...always packing up good stuff or planning deliveries to put me to work in the yard. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have my yard full of duck statues, wishing wells and furniture...but Sammy loved stopping by to visit to see how it all turned out...then onward to remote control vehicles...how my son loved coming there.

I have seen this time and time again, couples that are so close and that love each so much that it's impossible to go living without the other person. They are both now living out eternity together and keeping you all safe as angels watching down heaven. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Thoughts and prayers to the family, I will always remember what a very sweet and kind man Sam was. Also my deepest Sympathies to the family, I had no idea that Carole also passed. They were both very special people and will be remembered fondly by many.
