On Sunday, October 19, 2014, Celeste Gallup Laub, age 60, of Chambersburg, PA, formerly of Mt. Lebanon, passed away peacefully at her home. Beloved wife of Dennis G. Laub of Chambersburg, PA; daughter of the late Malcolm and Alberta Gallup; sister of Robert (Sue) Gallup of Maryland and the late Douglas and Eric Gallup; also survived by nieces and cousins. Friends received Tuesday 9-10:30 a.m. at the GRIFFITH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5636 Brownsville Road, Broughton-Curry-South Park Twp. Funeral Prayer following visitation at 10:30 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial in Nativity Church at 11 a.m. Condolences may be offered for the family at:

I was saddened to learn about Celeste's passing. We were both Russian majors at Pitt. We both graduated in 1976. There were only six of us majoring in Russian, so we were all very close friends. I remember Celeste as a very bright student in our Russian classes. I regret that I lost contact with her over the years. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.
