PETROVICH KATHLEEN MARIE "KATHY"
Age 71, of White Oak, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, in her home. Kathy was born on January 5, 1943, in Versailles Borough the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Vabich) Horvatincic. Kathy was the adored, loving and faithful wife and companion of Daniel N. Petrovich for over 46 years. She is also survived by her siblings, Louise Clevenger (the late Eugene) of Philadelphia, Florence Penick (the late Al) of Sutersville, Steve Horvatincic (Margaret) of Sherwood, AR, Dr. James V. Horvatincic, DOC (Sandy) of White Oak; her sister-in-law, Ida Horvatincic of Philadelphia (oldest brother, John (Horvat) Horvatincic deceased); and numerous nieces and nephews. Kathy was a member of the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church Monroeville and served on the Outreach Committee since the committee's origination; she was a 1960 graduate of McKeesport HS and worked after high school in the former GC Murphy Co. in McKeesport. She then worked for US Steel Clairton Works. Kathy was a life member of the CFU Lodge 146 of Versailles and a dancing member of Chi Chi's Kola Dancing Group for many years. Kathy and Dan were the true essence of "love" between a husband and wife and will be greatly missed. Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 5-8 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 702 7th Street (State Rt. 130), Trafford, (412) 372-3111. Parting prayers will be held at 10:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. on Monday in the St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, Monroeville with the Rev. Fr. DC Malich officiating. Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery, N. Versailles. Pomen services will be on Sunday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
