WILLIS
HEIDI (HOLT)
Heidi Holt Willis died Friday, March 27, 2015, at home with her family by her side. She was born to Lloyd M. Holt and Stearly Alling (Holt), M.D. in New York City, NY on February 4, 1966. The family moved from New Jersey to Wheaton, IL, where Heidi attended Wheaton Christian Grammar School. While in elementary school Heidi developed a love for ice skating, which carried through to a high school figure skating career. She competed with other girls from the greater Chicago area and on away competitions, winning many awards for her efforts. While at Wheaton Junior and Senior High Schools Heidi was also a member of the marching band, training and performing with the flute and piccolo. As the only piccolo player in the band, her talents were much appreciated during the stirring patriotic tunes performed for special occasions. Following a family move to Shillington, PA Heidi worked while attending Albright College, and again relocated to Knoxville, IA, and soon after graduated from American Institute of Business with a degree in Court Reporting. During this time she met and married Jon Robin Willis of Knoxville, and with their daughter, Natasha, later moved to Mt. Lebanon, PA to pursue career opportunities. Heidi worked as a court reporter until her retirement in 2012, earning some of the most prestigious and respected professional certifications available. Heidi's true loves were her Lord, her family and friends, and her big sloppy dogs. Heidi was happiest when she could give of her time, her talent and her beautiful smile to brighten the lives of others. She and Rob attended South Hills Bible Chapel, where Heidi worked many Sundays doing Closed Captioning of the morning service for benefit of the hearing impaired, enjoying the fellowship of her Christian family, and joyfully worshipping our God. Heidi was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Holt, and is survived by her mother, Stearly of Knoxville IA; husband, Rob of South Park; daughter, Natasha Scheer (Jason); grandchildren, Ben, Samantha and Carson, all of Baldwin; sister, Kirsten Meyers (Andy) of Knoxville; and beloved niece and nephew, Kirsten Merritt (Tom) of California, and Bob Lyons of Washington, D.C. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in BEINHAUER FUNERAL HOME, 2828 Washington Rd., McMurray (724-941-3211). Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in South Hills Bible Chapel (everyone please meet at church). Memorial contributions in Heidi's memory may be made to Light of Life Ministries (www.lightoflife.org). Please add tributes at:

Heidi always had a beautiful way about her. She was simply a beautiful girl in every way back in grade school and high school. What a tragedy. I hope her death was painless and not protracted. She will be missed, but we will see her again in heaven!

When I think about Heidi, I always think of her beautiful smile. She never took a bad picture. Her laugh was infectious. But most of all I know she truly loved the Lord, and, of course, she loved her family with great passion!
