BUNDICK
GRETCHEN MARY (STRAHSMEIER)
Gretchen Mary (Strahsmeier) Bundick, died on Thursday, October 15, 2015, at the age of 38, of Newtown, PA. Gretchen is survived by her husband, Jason; her two extraordinary children, Dylan and Abby; her mother and father, Carol and Richard; her sisters, Heidi and Katti; her mother and father-in-law, Paulette and Joe; and her dog, Moe Shumway. Gretch was one of the most vibrant, caring, nurturing and inspirational people to ever spend time on this planet. You can ask anyone who knew her. Literally, anyone who knew her. Her love for her children was palpable. She was more passionate about her Dylan and Abby than anything else in this world. You can't reduce her love for them to writing. She was a perfect mother. She was an amazing wife, and the type of daughter, sister and friend that everyone should be so lucky to have. She considered her friends her family, and her family her closest of friends. She loved often and she loved hard. She loved in the way that only someone blessed with her amazing soul is capable of loving. She lit up every room she walked into and had a magical way about her that made people smile. She made them smile constantly, and with those "ear to ear" smiles that you can only muster when you are the purest form of happy. That was what she was. The purest form of happy. She will be missed as much as we are capable of missing, and everyone who was lucky enough to spend even a little bit of time with her is a better person for having done so. If you ask her husband, Jason (who she so affectionately referred to as "Pooh", and he to her as "Strahs"), he will tell you that he is the luckiest of the lot. He fell in love with her the day he met her when he was ten, and spent the next 28 years being the beneficiary of her love and friendship. "Strahs and Pooh" had a bond that permeates time and space. They were inseparable, and always have been. And for the record, they always will be. There will be viewings on Sunday 2-8 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHELLHAAS & SONS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 1600 Stone Mansion Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143, Franklin Park. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. John Neumann Church. (Please meet at the church.) In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a contribution to the kids' school: St. Andrew School, Attn: Development Office, 51 Wrights Road, Newtown, PA 18940. Please leave condolences at:

I met Gretchen once, briefly, and I immediately knew she was special to her man and her children. There are no words to adequately describe her loss to all those lives she touched. My deepest condolences go out to Gretchens family. I know she will be missed by many. Jason, you can grieve, but then you must pick up the pieces and raise your wonderful children and live life to the fullest.

I had the honor of meeting and taking care of Gretchen during her final hospitalization. Honestly, I got to know her family and friends more than Gretchen herself, but I realize to know and love them it's easy to love her as well. Never have I been touched by such a remarkable family that will forever leave an impression on my life. My thoughts and prayers are with Gretch and her family for they are some of the most loving and wonderful people I had the privilege of knowing. My deepest condolences on your loss of such a beautiful life.

To the Bundick Strahsmeier and Stoller Families
We are in shock to hear the news of Gretchen. There really are no good words to say. As time passes lots and lots of time may the emptiness that you feel for the loss of Gretchen be replaced by happy memories of your times with her. With deepest sympathy, Bill and Margee Begley

My thoughts and prayers are with the Bundick and Strahsmeier families as you mourn the loss for such a wonderful person. My grandparents were close with Gretchen's mom and dad and I can remember going to their house and idolizing Gretchen. She was always so welcoming and friendly, especially to me, as I was only around 7 years old. Heaven has gained a wonderful angel.

Gretchen's presence brought pure light and joy. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, she was an outstanding speech pathologist. Her exceptional clinical skills changed the lives of countless children over the years. Her encouraging and caring professional style, her collegial generosity and her exceptional work ethic will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.

Gretchen, your presence will always be felt among us.

We hold Jason, Dylan, Abby and all of your family close to our hearts, in prayer.

I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I had the pleasure of meeting Gretchen, when Abby was in preschool at St. Andrew. I was the assistant in the class. She was so sweet, and had the biggest smile. I am so sorry for your loss.
