GERTRUDE ELIZABETH
Age 88, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away, on Monday, September 18, 2017, due to complications associated with Acute Renal Failure. Gertrude "Gert" was born in Allegheny County on May 9, 1929. She was married to Charles R. Schweinberg on May 20, 1950. They were married for 50 years. Gert is survived by her children, Raymond J., Charles F., John M., Karl M. and Mary K. Connolly; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, and other family and friends. Gert worked as a City of Pittsburgh School Crossing Guard. Family and friends received at the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 216 44th Street, Lawrenceville, on Thursday 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service on Friday at 2 p.m. at Christ Church at Grove Farm. Rev. Barry J. Mariana officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to "Activities Office", Cranberry Place, 5 St. Francis Way, Cranberry Twp., PA 16066. Gert's family wishes to thank the caring and friendly staff of Cranberry Place.

Dear Schweinberg Children, It is bittersweet when a Christian returns to the Father. We are happy for her, she is where we all want to be, but we miss her love and presence here. I so remember the good times we had at your mom and dad's home with Chuck and Margaret Ann Hoffman. May the Our Lord bless each and every one of you and keep you in His peace.
