ROBERT "BOB"
Age 90, of Gibsonia, formerly of McCandless, died on January 27, 2018. He was the loving husband of Shirley (Shuker) Seethaler for 66 years. Father of four children, Barbara (late John) Holmes of Aspinwall, Michael (Lynn) Seethaler of Minneapolis, MN, Larry (Janet) Seethaler, and Luanne (Bob) Radermacher, both of McCandless; grandfather to 11 grandchildren, Aaron, Jordan, Lauren, David, Rob, Anna, Matt, Sean, Brian, Jonathan, and Connie; great-grandfather to eight children, Joel, Blythe, Conception, Teegan, Sawyer, Crosby, Miles, and Wesley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Lucy (Pfaff); and two sisters, Clare Irlbacher and Lucille Fleming; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bob was a World War II Navy veteran and was part of the crew that commissioned the Air Craft Carrier, the USS Philippine Sea, and served on the Battleship the UUS North Carolina. He graduated from Pitt University School of Engineering, and was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He was past president of the Flow Control Division of Rockwell International. He was past Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Board of the Valve Manufacturers Association of America, headquartered in Washington D.C. Friends received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Heckert Rd., Bakerstown. Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Richard Church, Gibsonia. Interment in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless.
