In 1976, my partner Tom and I met each other and John at the Boardwalk in Castle Shannon. Tom was a manager there and I was a bartender. We have fond memories of John and our time working for him there. We moved to Atlanta in 1977 and enjoyed visiting him at his restaurant on visits back to Pittsburgh. Our deepest sympathies to your family.

It's been a few years since I've been in Pittsburgh to visit. When I lived there my friends and I were regulars at the restaurant on Wednesdays and Fridays. I wish I could have gone one more time. It was always a fun time. My condolences to the family.

Dear JoHan, John and Joey (and the rest of the Costanzo family)..I am truly sorry and my prayers are with you. I know it's been awhile since I've been to the restaurant but you all have never been far from my thoughts. I have many great memories of Costanzo's and none of them are without John, Sr. His smile, his laughter, his hugs, and his genuine warmth will be missed greatly. I know I will miss him very much. May God be with all of you during this time.

Much Love and Deep Sympathy, Stephanie, Don, Cory and Cameron Pampena

We deeply regret the passing of our friend, Mr. John Costanzo. We loved him so much! He treated us with kindness every time we stepped foot into his restaraunt. He always would make sure there would be a DJ for the two of us on Saturday night. He would always ask us if we are coming down on Saturday night. He wanted to make sure there was music for us to dance to. He made sure there was a DJ booked for Saturday night. And from 1995 to 2000, we were a regular Saturday night fixture at his restaraunt. He made us feel so "welcomed" in his house. We'll never forget him!! Love, Tom and Cheryl Angeline from Uniontown, Pa.
