Age 96 former businessman in Monroeville and Turtle Creek peacefully passed away on Monday, January 13, 2003. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ella E. (Sekera) Loreski. Mr. Loreski was born in Shawmine, Washington County, on April 6, 1906, to Julius Loreski and Maria (Duvia) Loreski. In 1907, he moved to Turtle Creek where he attended elementary through high school. Mr. Loreski was a entrepreneur from an early age. He loved music and was a master musician. As a young man, he played clarinet in many traveling bands. In 1931, he started L&S Music Store in Turtle Creek. Mr. Loreski taught music to many in the Turtle Creek area. Over the years, his business evolved into Loreski's Photo and Hobby Shop. In 1954, Mr. Loreski moved his business to the Miracle Mile Shopping Center in Monroeville. He was an original business owner in the shopping center where for 48 years Loreski's Photo and Hobby was a prominent fixture. Mr. Loreski was actively involved in the community. He was President of the Sub Alpine Club, Italian Social Club in Turtle Creek in 1954 and 1964. He also was President of the Miracle Mile Business Association for many years. In 1926, Mr. Loreski married his beloved wife Ella Sekera, together they had four loving children, Doreen and husband Bill Reed, Donald and wife Sharen Loreski, David and wife Charlotte Loreski and Donna and husband Wade Kunis. He is survived by nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; also his sister Esther Sekera of Colorado Springs, CO. Friends will be received Tuesday 7-9 pm Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at JOHN L. QUINLAN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 11th & 975 Airbrake Aves. Turtle Creek. Mass of Christian burial in St. Colman Church in Turtle Creek, Thursday 10 am. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.
