Our deepest condolences to the Fornear Family. Jeanne and I went to Resurrection School with Bob and were friends with him and his brother Paul. My brother Dick Solomon said that he recently saw him at the Brookline reunion picnic at South Park. He also passes on his condolences. Bob was a great guy and a true friend.

Mrs. Fornear, Terry and family,
I used to work with Terry a long time ago. Mr. Fornear seemed like one of the nicest guys in the world, and he really appeared to love his family so much. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Dear Fornear Family,
Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time. As a kid growing up on Bartley Road, I remember your dad and husband as a happy man who loved his family very much. Please try to remember the good memories and times you shared with him when your hearts grow heavy.

My earliest memory of our Dad is him teaching some of us the following campaign song in 1960:
"Kennedy, Kennedy, he has a Plan
For old folks and young in this Frontier Land."
He sang it like a hymn, in reverence to the concept of creating the better community and country that JFK embodied for him. I will never forget the love, hope, and beauty with which he sang that song to his kids and his country.
The week before he died I bought him a remote control for his TV. He thanked me like I had bought him a BMW. He gave all he had to our family, his employers, and his community, and asked for nothing in return. Those of us who follow might hope to reach as far.

Mere words can't express what we hold in our hearts... Please know that we hold you in prayer during this most difficult time of loss. May each of you find comfort in knowing that God holds your father/grandfather/husband in the palm of his hand, as does he you.
Hugs and prayers, MB. Joan and Dave

The Fornear Family wants to express our deepest appreciation to each of you who have honored Bob Fornear by reading or signing this guest book. Your thoughts mean so very much to us in the time of our grief. We ask you to join with us in celebrating the life of a man who gave so much to us and his community. We remember him as a master motivator - from training troops for Korea, to teaching kids how to hit a baseball or make a tackle. He was good at motivating and we are the beneficiaries.
Thanks again for visiting this site,

My wife and I extend our Deepest Sympathy to your family. I first met Bob as a teenager working at the Citgo next to the old MOO Shop.
He always made people feel special and was certainly a person who set a great example to young people growing up in Upper St. Clair in the 1960's. Much Love to you all.

Terry et al.,
As you expressed for me twenty plus years ago while I suffered the loss of my Mom and Dad, know that the miles and years in no way dilute the authenticity of my sympathies for, and commiseration with, you as you suffer the same.
Hope all are well, I think about you often when I'm home.
