On Saturday, August 25, 2007, age 76, of McCandless, formerly of Millvale. Beloved wife of 56 years to Kenneth W. Richert. Loving Mother of Dr. Kenneth D. (L'Vonne )Richert, David (Jean) Richert, Larry (Cindi) Richert, Patrick Richert, and Nancy Richert. Grandmother of Holly Jacobs, Matthew, Alex, Tara, Taylor, Erica, Zachary, and Emma Richert. Great grandmother of Connor and Samuel Jacobs and Ryder Edwards. Sister of Rosemarie "Sis" Morgan, Jean Rickard, and Will "Sonny" (Connie) Kapp, and the late Jack Kapp. Friends received on Monday 1-9 PM at the HEALY-HAHN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 512 Grant Avenue, Millvale. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, 12 noon Holy Spirit Church. Mrs. Richert volunteered many years at North Hills Passavant Hospital and North Hills Community Outreach, and retired from Hosack and Peebles Schools. A gentle soul with a sense of humor who was loved by all who knew her. Family requests memorial contributions to North Hills Community Outreach, 1975 Ferguson Road, Allison Park PA 15101.

Dear Ken and Family,
I enjoyed working with Doris at NHCO, and I miss her. Doris loved her family very much and spoke proudly about all of you.
Here at NHCO Doris touched many lives with her kindness, compassion, and her sense of humor. Doris was fun to be around and I'd like to share with you a story about Doris...Sometimes the staff and volunteers would gather for a group prayer. Doris would always close our prayer with her own prayer of "Lord, help us to have fun today!" Even though we all miss Doris, I think that Doris would want us to carry on and have fun today and every day.

Nancy, Larry, Pat and all of the Richert Family,

Doris was a really special volunteer who will be greatly missed by the staff, clients and other volunteers at North Hills Community Outreach. I am in GA on vacation and will not be able to attend the viewing. Thanks for designating NHCO to receive memorials for Doris' life. We will use any funds received to help neighbors in need in the compassionate and effective way that she set a great example for.
