Melinda Murphy Obituary

Melinda Sue Wood Murphy was born March 17, 1987, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. It was a happy day for us. She passed away unexpectedly July 8, 2018, at home in Marbleton, Wyoming.

Melinda spent her first six years in Ammon and attended kindergarten and first grade at Hillview Elementary. The family moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming, and she went to school there through sixth grade. The family returned to Driggs, where she went to junior high and Teton High School. She then returned to Ammon and finished her schooling, graduating from Hillcrest High School in 2005.

Melinda met and married Cameron Murphy on July 1, 2005. They made their home in Shelley and were blessed with four children. The family moved to Marbleton in 2011 where they have resided since that time.

Melinda was the loving mother of Kodey, Beau, Rilygh and Adileigh "Addie." Melinda is survived by her loving husband, Cameron Murphy; parents, Susan and Jason Wood; grandparents: Leora Wood, Paul and Margene Jordan; a sister, Danielle Breckenridge (Jeff); niece, Charly; and two nephews, Lane and Liam Wood. Melinda was preceded in death by two brothers, Cody Ray Wood and Seth Wood, and her grandfather Ray Wood.

Melinda was a sweet fun-loving woman who volunteered throughout her community and would help anyone who needed help with kids, housework, moving. She was very involved with her children and made sure they were able to do sports and other activities. She loved being with family and friends.

Melinda will be greatly missed by those who loved her and by her children.

Due to Melinda's unexpected passing, a donation account has been set up at any U.S. Bank in Cameron Murphy's name. We greatly appreciate all of the love, support and kindness that has been shown to our family during this very difficult time.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 13, at 11 a.m., at Foundry Ward, Shelley Stake Center, 675 S. Milton Ave. The family will visit with friends Friday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com.
