Rodonna Bringhurst Bowman, 94, of Ammon, passed away June 5, 2018, at The Gables of Ammon Assisted Living Center. She was under the care of Aspen Hospice.

Rodonna was born March 9, 1924, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Louis Grainger Bringhurst and Oral Amanda Blackburn Bringhurst. Louis and Oral were married Oct. 25, 1922, in the Logan Temple. A sister, Yvonne, was born March 9, 1926. Both daughters shared the same birth date with their father who was born March 9, 1899, in Touquerville, Utah. Prior to Yvonne's birth, their parents divorced Nov. 19, 1925. Both of their parents remarried and had additional children.

She grew up and attended schools in Springfield, Idaho, and graduated from Aberdeen High School in Aberdeen, Idaho. She also attended licensed practical nurse training in Idaho Falls.

On Sept. 30, 1942, she married Charles Taggart Bowman in Pocatello, Idaho. To this union was born one child, Charles Wynward Bowman, born Oct. 4, 1943. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Fall Temple on Aug. 21, 1953. Rodonna and Charles made their home in Idaho Falls, where Rodonna worked as a licensed practical nurse at the LDS Hospital.

Rodonna was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed working with children, Relief Society, choir and reading the scriptures. Rodonna and her husband, Chuck, served an 18-month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Pennsylvania Pittsburg Mission. She also served for two years as a stake missionary. Her rock in life was her faith and religion.

She loved to attend the temple and was very active in genealogy research and the preparation of and accumulation of life stories of her family and ancestors.

Rodonna is survived by her son, Charles Wynward "Wyn" Bowman (Dee Ann), of Murrieta, California; stepdaughter, Maureen Nelson, of American Falls, Idaho; and stepson, Charles Garde Bowman (Beverly), of Ammon. Her posterity includes 13 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 94 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Oral; husband, Charles T. Bowman; and her siblings, Yvonne Atamanczyk, Pauline Larson, Marilyn Tramell, Jerry Seable and Ronald Bringhurst.
