She was the youngest of six children and the last of her siblings to survive. Having just turned 95, she often mentioned that she was ready to go to heaven.
Having graduated from high school, she had several secretarial jobs before moving to California and meeting her future husband, John B. Tucker, who was from Fort Smith, Ark. They were married in California on her birthday in 1948. Two daughters followed, Janet and Paula.
She worked at several Christian organizations and ended her working career as a church secretary.
Whittier, Calif., was home for many years. She and John moved to Poteau in 1986.
She is survived by her two daughters Janet and her husband Tim Waggoner and Paula and her husband Randy Shultz and five grandsons Drew Waggoner and wife Nicole, Toby Waggoner, Joshua Shultz and wife Christin, Ryan Shultz and Justin Shultz and wife Amanda. Thirteen great-grandchildren were able to know and love her.
She lived the last 20 years of her life in the Temecula, Calif., area.
