Hank Abbott, 73, of Poteau passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, in Houston, Texas.
Hank was born April 15, 1944, in Wister to Dero Wood and Lois (Addison) Abbott. Hank was a veteran of the Vietnam war where he served with the U.S. Army. He was a car salesman, musician and avid fisherman and hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Sam and Charlie; and sister, Bonnie Allen.
Survivors include his wife, Willene Abbott; son, David Abbott; daughter, Sherri Hough; brothers, Woodie and wife Bea Abbott, Everett and wife Karen Nolen; sisters, Dora Abbott Escobar and husband Dr. Marco Escobar, Reba Abbott, Candy Bennett; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Evans and Miller Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with good family friend Jim Cook officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The family will visit with relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
