Byron R. McCleary, 67, of Coudersport, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022 at UPMC – Cole, Coudersport.
Byron was born on June 20,1954 in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Richard R. and Carol Ann (Carson) McCleary.
On Oct. 18, 2003, he married the former Anne Constantine and they celebrated 18 years of marriage.
Byron was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was employed for many years with Level 3, Coudersport, where he served in many capacities including as a communications tech.
Byron was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church, Coudersport and was a former vestry member. He was a member of the Eulalia Masonic Lodge #342, Coudersport, and he enjoyed reading, history, baseball and time with his family and extended family.
In addition to his wife, Anne McCleary, Byron is survived by a brother, William (Teressa) McCleary of Warren, Ohio; a sister, Gayle (Russell Putt) Cassidy of Austintown, Ohio; three step-children; Kathryn (Thomas) Tangretti, Bethany (Randy Shantel) Redmond and Mark (Silvana Angeli) Zedonek and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service at the Christ Episcopal Church will be announced at a later date.
