Rosemary Metcalf Obituary
Dover Plains - Rosemary E. Metcalf, 54, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY died on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Vassar Brother's Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Born on May 23, 1960 in Potsdam, NY she was the daughter of the late John M. and Vivian (Greenwood) Reed. On May 17, 1980 in Dover Plains, NY she married Robert A. Metcalf who survives at home. In 2001, Mrs. Metcalf received her GED from Dutchess County BOCES in Poughkeepsie, NY.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert A. Metcalf, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia of Wingdale, NY and Daniel Metcalf and his wife, Tarrah of Dover Plains, NY; two brothers, Michael Reed of Poughkeepsie, NY and John Reed of Florida and three sisters, Theresa Haause of Poughkeepsie, NY, Sharon McCue of Hyde Park, NY and Nancy Hooper of Patterson, NY. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Devin, Emilylou, Samuel, Gabrielle, Chloee and Daniel Metcalf, Jr.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2014 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the funeral home with Gerald McIntyre officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery in Dover Plains, NY. Roe is an amazing woman and a great friend she will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed ! We wish we could be there for her family but its not possible but know you are all in our thoughts and prayers and if you need anything call . Love you all !!!!
