Angelina "Angie" Gromkowski
Fishkill - Angelina "Angie" Gromkowski, a longtime resident of Beacon and Fishkill, passed away at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie on Thursday, November 29, 2012. She was 91.
Born in Wappingers Falls on November 15, 1921 Angie was the daughter of Angelo and Maddelena Alberton Visentin. Graduated Wappingers High School 1940. On November 24, 1946 Angie married Stanley J. Gromkowski. Mr. Gromkowski predeceased Angie in 2008. Angie was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church, a member of St. Rocco's Ladies Auxiliary, St. Anthony Sodality and was a volunteer at Highland Hospital and St. John's School.
Angie is survived by her son, Paul Gromkowski of Fishkill; her granddaughter, Natalie Gromko of Beacon; her sister, Mary Visentin Cerilli of Florida; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Angie was predeceased by her brother, Americo (Ben) Visentin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 31 Willow Street, Beacon.
Interment will follow at St. Joachim Cemetery, 301 Washington Avenue, Beacon.
