Recently heard of Nonna Mima’s passing who reminded me so much of my own Slovak grandmother who we called Baba. Food was always love in her house and when we went there we were immediately hungry heading to the kitchen. I am a fan of Lidia’s PBS show and I’ve tried many of her dishes at home. Deepest sympathy to the family but know she is always close by.

I've watched Lidia throughout the years on PBS, then on Create. I always tuned in to see "Grandma" Lidia's mom. She always was in a good mood, smiling and singing. "Grandma" made me laugh, especially when Lidia would serve her food and a drink, and "Grandma" would say not to much I'm driving later. Erminia will be sorely missed. Lidia and Franco, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother, Erminia. My mother and I used to take long walks by the seaside and your mom came out one day to say hello, so we all had several wonderful lunches together. Erminia was a treasure and she was like my aunt from Bari. Sadly my mother is gone too and your mom was very lucky to have a wonderful family. I will say a prayer for Erminia and please stay well during this difficult time. God bless her.
