Dr Ivan Rodriguez has been my caregiver for the past 15yrs, i moved to Queens and traveled all the way to visit my caring, friendly doctor who always had a joke to share, he loved his patients so much, I'm still in denial and cries all the time. I did not know Dr. Rodriguez but I did get to know his son this school year. Ivan Jr. is a wonderful, intelligent, compassionate young man. He is a loving son. Teachers can tell which children have happy, healthy homes. Ivan was clearly raised by great parents. His father had a profound impact on Ivan Jr. Our school community is heartbroken for this family. We honored his memory in 5K race dedicated to first responders; 'Not All Super Heroes Wear Capes 2020'

Frank, George, and I would like to express our condolences to the Rodriguez Family. The passing of Ivan profoundly saddens us. For me, memories come to mind when growing up in Brooklyn, visiting Ivan and his family. We would always find something to do. Sometimes we would play manhunt where we broke into two teams, and we would run around the block trying to catch the members of the other side, or we would play football or stickball in front of his house or just hang-out in the basement. In those days, I recall Ivan always saying he wanted to become a Dr. and he did it. I remember many times stopping by where he would be diligently studying to make his dream come true. Ivan was a humble individual, he loved family, and he loved his culture. He was always proud of his Puerto Rican heritage. Ivan, you will be missed. Love Rich, George, and Frank.
