Pleasant Valley - Jean Elizabeth Farinacci, 77, a lifelong Dutchess County resident, passed away on June 8, 2018 at home in her bed with her loving family by her side.

Born on February 4, 1941 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Vere and Edith Grantner Foster.

She was a former member of the Faith Assembly of God in Poughkeepsie and most recently attended the Full Gospel Center in Lagrangeville.

She was a 25-year employee at the Dutchess County Infirmary in Millbrook. It was Jean's compassionate ways that led her into the health field.

Jean was a strong, independent lady who always supported her family. She loved being with her friends and family and spending time at the beach.

Survivors include her four children, Kimberli Marshall of Lagrange, Kelly Pedersen of Pleasant Valley, Kolleen Farinacci of LaGrange, and Frank Farinacci and wife, Kelle, of Pleasant Valley.

Her true love was spending time with her grandchildren: Brandon Bergh, Joseph Marshall, Leah Eddington, Briana Leonard, and Mark Phillips Jr.; and her great-grandchildren, Marianna Bergh, Brooke Leonard, and Jase Eddington.

She is also survived by her siblings, Ronald Foster and wife, Emily, of Poughkeepsie, Vere Foster Jr. of Reno, Nevada, Donald Foster and wife, Rose, of Yorktown Heights, Cherry Poliquin and significant other, Carl Clark, of Poughkeepsie, Gary Foster and wife, Karen, of Poughkeepsie, and Judith Snyder and significant other, Ray Juliano, of Flagler Beach, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, June Brower; and two brothers, Stephen and Gerald Foster.

There are no calling hours.

Funeral services will be at 12 Noon, Tuesday, June 12th in the chapel at the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Ave., Poughkeepsie. Pastor Rick Leonardi is officiating.

Entombment in the mausoleum will follow.
