Wappingers Falls - Julia "Jules" Elizabeth McCord Eurillo, 48, of Wappingers Falls, NY passed away suddenly Monday, December 18, 2017 at home. Born in Poughkeepsie on December 1, 1969 she was the daughter of Mary McCord. Julia was a 1987 Graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School. She continued her education with an Associates from Dutchess Community College ('89), Bachelor of the Arts ('95) and Masters in Education ('97) both from Mount St. Mary's College. She was a true patriot and loved her country. She was active with the Boy & Girls Scouts of America and was the recipient of the Girl Scout Gold Award. On July 4th,2009 Julia married, the love of her life, Charles "Chip" Eurillo at Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie. Julia worked as a special education teacher in the Wappinger School district for 17 years at Roy C. Ketcham and John Jay High Schools. She was architect and "the Voice" who announced and coordinated numerous athletic competitions at both high schools respectively. "Coach Jules" coached both the track and cheerleading at Roy C. Ketcham, Our Lady of Lourdes and Marlboro High Schools. Julia had unwavering dedication to public service. Volunteering thousands of hours to her local community at various events throughout Dutchess County, especially the Claudio Cares Foundation. Julia was a life member of the New Hackensack Fire Department and a social member of the Hughsonville Fire Department. She was secretary of the Hudson Valley Gun and Hoses. In addition, she was also a dispatcher with the Marlboro Police Department. Also surviving are mother Mary McCord, uncle/godfather William McCord, Stepdaughters Gabby Eurillo & Elizabeth Eurillo, sister in law Debbie Eurillo, brother in law David Eurillo(Debbie), nephews David, Steve and Luke and beloved friends, cousins and colleagues. She was predeceased by her grandparents Leonard & Elizabeth McCord. As you would say "Cheers" & "May You Fly High". Your infectious, vivacious, patriotic, spirit and beautiful soul has touched all of us. It has been our privilege to know you and paying it forward every day to honor your legacy.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 4:00-9:00pm at Parmele, Auchmoody & Schoonmaker Funeral Home, 110 Fulton Ave., Pougkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10am at Holy Trinity Church, 775 Main St., Poughkeepsie, NY. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Poughkeepsie.
