Michael J. Curry, Jr.

Poughkeepsie - 46, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born on May 17, 1972 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of Violet Power Curry and the late Michael J. Curry Sr. Michael was a graduate of Arlington High School and Dutchess Community College. He worked as a graphic consultant. On July 31, 2005 he married Maria Jose Arroyo in Las Vegas, and she survives him at home. Michael was a member of the Chelsea Yacht Club; he loved spending time with his son specially taking him deep-sea fishing and go-kart racing, he also enjoyed sailing was an excellent skier, extremely passionate about his work, absolutely loved the beach and always willing to lend a helping hand. In addition to his wife Maria, Michael is survived by his son Michael Lee Curry of Poughkeepsie, his mother Violet Power Curry and stepfather Robert F. Zwissler of Lavallette, NJ, formely of Wappingers Falls, his brother James Michael Curry and Jamie Phillips of NJ, his sister April Beth Curry Sauer and brother in law John P. Sauer of Lavallette, NJ. Also surviving is his niece Payten and Jimmy his aunt, uncle Path & Richard Eannarinno, and many cousins

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 5:00 - 8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
