Jeremiah J. Hearn

Fishkill - Jeremiah J. Hearn, a Dutchess County Resident since 2003, formerly of Schenectady, died at the Wingate at Dutchess in Fishkill on Saturday, March 15, 2014. He was 89.

Son of the late Jeremiah and Ellen (Williams) Hearn, he was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 29, 1924. For many years, he worked as a warehouse supervisor for Abraham Strauss Co.

In 1983, he married Mary Power Hearn, who survives in Fishkill.

In addition to his wife, Jeremiah is also survived by his niece and stepdaughter, Mary Nolan (husband Michael) of Carolina Beach, NC, along with her family - Michael Nolan (wife Mary) and their children Connor & Sophia of Raleigh, NC, Sean Nolan of Manhattan, and Daniel Nolan of Baltimore, MD. He is also survived by many other loving relatives & friends.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Victoria, in 1979; his brother, Samuel Hearn; and his sisters, Mary Slavin and Dorothy Schneider.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2014 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna, NY.
