POUGHKEEPSIE - Ralph J. Wtulich, son of Stanislaus & Bronislawa Siudowska Wtulich of Poughkeepsie, departed this life on March 17, 2015. After graduating from St. Joseph's School and Poughkeepsie High School, Ralph became a W.W. U.S. Navy Combat Veteran serving from 1944-46 as a Seaman 2nd Class. He received the American Theatre Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Medal with 1 Star and a Victory Medal. Following his service Ralph attended Hudson Valley Technical Institute in Troy, NY and received an A.A.S. Degree in Design Engineering. He worked at the Eastern Engineering Co. in Manhattan and from there he went to IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY for 35 years. Ralph was a 50 year member of St. Martin de Porres Church where he served as an Usher for Sunday Mass. He was a 58 year member of the American Legion Arlington Post 1302, a Life member of the Pirate Canoe Club, an avid bowler & golfer at the IBM Country Club and McCann Golf Course, he enjoyed cooking and attending classes at the C.I.A. Ralph also enjoyed hunting, fishing, driving, card playing and shooting pool.

He leaves behind his wife, Catherine Babulas of 62 years. They were married at St. Adalbert Roman Catholic Church in Queens, NY. Other survivors include: son and wife: Paul Wtulich & Angela DiGiacomo; daughter & husband: Christine & Michael Racite and son & wife: Peter C. & Shirley Wtulich. Grandchildren include: Gina, Sandra, Alexandra, Katrina, and Preston. There is a sister: Gertrude Wtulich of Poughkeepsie; several sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. He was a loving brother to: Henry, Eugene, Frank, Lee, Dr. Stanley Wtulich, Edward and Dr. Josephine Wtulich all who have predeceased him.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 22, 2015, 2-6 PM at the Wm. G. Miller & Son F.H., Inc., 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 AM in St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
