Martin Hunt Obituary

Martin J. Hunt

Fishkill - Martin J. Hunt of Fishkill passed away peacefully on November 17, 2015 in Boulder Colorado. He was 90.

Born on May 13, 1925 in Paterson, New Jersey to the late James J. and Mary McKelvey Hunt. He grew up in Englewood, New Jersey and graduated from St. Cecilia High School in 1943.

At the age of 18 Martin was drafted into the United States Army where he was sent to the European Theatre of World War II. After being honorably discharged from the Army he enrolled in Seton Hall University and graduated in 1952. He taught for 25 years in New Jersey and Long Island prior to retiring and moving to Fishkill in 1991.

Martin is survived by his children Elizabeth Hunt Rosica of Madison, New Jersey, Joanne Hunt of Boulder, Colorado and Thomas Hunt of Boulder Colorado.

He was predeceased by his siblings Francis Hunt, James Hunt, Christine Hunt and Martha Hunt Kagel.

Friends may call on Monday November 23, 2015 from 8:30-9:30am at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am at St. Mary, Mother of The Church, Fishkill. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Denis Cemetery, Hopewell Junction.
