To the Tardiff Family,
I knew your Father since I was a kid in Wappingers Falls.
He was a most kind and generous man.
I just found out he passed away today, October 10, 2017.
I bought a few items in his store for my mother on the holidays and birthdays through the years. I also bought my first watch from him when I was sixteen years old, which I still have. And... of course, an engagement ring.
He was so patient with children and everyone.
I remember going into his store when I was ten years old and curious about the Grandfather clock he had.
He taught me to be kind to everyone and don't ignore children.
I'm sure his goodness and love is in his family.
I know God has blessed him and is keeping him well and happy in heaven.
He is known as a Great Man for all the good he shared with others. He influenced my life and I'm sure others.
He will always be in God's heart and the hearts of the children and people he influenced.
Blessings to all of you.
With heartfelt sympathy.

To the Family
I want to offer my condolences for your loss. I have very fond memories of Norman during the time when his wife Glenna was sick. I was one of the nurses that visited her in their home. Norman was quite the character. He loved to talk about his home and the Chelsea yacht club. He was a local historian with a wealth of knowledge.
Sincerely,
Brett and Diana Kolfrat

My Old Gaffer what a party 100 years of great sailing. Chelsea was always special when I could get to meet and just say hi to Norm and Glenna. My favorite Ice Boat and Chelsea Historian. Thanks to an early morning sailor he gave me new perspective on sailing a boat how to capture what the river has to offer stillness, calm, quiet morning sail most never appreciate. Norm had a wealthy attitude like he had history in him, confidence of a farmer. Glad my ice boat gave him a happiness straight from the roots of the club. I will always tell them who taught me.
