Mark Pells Obituary

Mark Pells

Clearlake California - Mark Pells passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Clearlake California, with his loving brother, Garry by his side.

He was born in St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York on September 21, 1955 to Bruce and MaryJane Pells and christened Mark Stephen.

He was a graduate of Arlington High School Class of 1973 and served in the U.S. Navy.

Mark married Donna Devine on July 18, 1987. Donna Survives in Marlboro, New York.

Mark is survived by his brothers, Garry Pells of Clearlake, California, Jeff Pells and his wife Michelle of Poughkeepsie, New York, his sisters Kathleen Mulcahy of New Paltz, Patricia Magurno of Poughkeepsie, a very beloved Aunt JoAnne Morris of Hyde Park and many nieces, nephews as well as grand-nieces and nephews, friends, cousins and his beloved dogs Skip and Babe.

He was predeceased by his parents Bruce and JoAnne Pells, his brother Bruce and his step-son Dennis Devine.

Mark worked in construction most of his life and was always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends and family.

He was a avid comic book fan, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm to anyone who would listen. Lately he could be seen smiling with a twinkle in his eye as his boyhood heroes from comics came alive on today's silver screen.

His adeptness at climbing trees is remembered by many who remember seeing him hanging around the treetops of the neighborhood, perhaps keeping watch like the comic book heroes that he loved to read about. He was often referred to as Spider-Man.

He is already missed by his friends and family and will remain a bright light in their memories.

He wanted no fuss or muss and wished to be cremated. Memorial arrangements are private and will take place on the Pacific Coast that he loved so dearly. There will be a memorial service locally at a later date. If interested in attending contact a member of the family for details. Please keep him and his grieving family in your prayers.

Special thanks to Tim Doyle of the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home for always taking such good care of our family.

Local arrangements are being handled by the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.

To The Pell's Family, So sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I haven't seen him in years but have fond memories from back in the day, when he hung out with my older brother Johnny and they would let me tag along. My sincere condolences, Larry Reed
