Patricia "Teesha" A. Amoroso

Beacon - Patricia "Teesha" A. Amoroso, a lifelong resident of Beacon, entered into rest on December 30, 2020 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie. She was 79 years old.

Teesha was born on May 29, 1941 in Beacon, the daughter of the late Augustine and Loretta Affinito Steffanci. She graduated from Beacon schools. On May 3, 1964 she married Louis J. Amoroso, Sr. at St. Joachim Church in Beacon. Mr. Amoroso survives at home.

Teesha had many jobs over the years. She was employed in the offices of attorney Charlotte Frank and John Hancock Insurance. She also was involved in the beginning of the IBM Credit Union, which is now Hudson Valley Credit Union. Teesha was also the former owner of the Cotton Gin on Main Street in Beacon. Her last job before her retirement was as secretary for Local 323, Carpenter's Union in Beacon.

Teesha was a parishioner of St. Joachim - St. John the Evangelist Church. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Court Liberata in Beacon. She was an active member of the Beacon Junior Social League when her children were younger, and a member of the Tioronda Garden Club. She loved her white grapes and trips to the casino.

In addition to her husband, Louis, Sr., Teesha is survived by her daughter, Teresa A. Williams and her companion, Rush M. Greenough, IV; her son, Louis J. Amoroso, Jr. and his companion, Denise Santori Bresciani; her grandchildren who were the light of her life, Victoria Williams, Jacob Davis and Mia Amoroso; her sister, Gloria Staniewicz; her many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.

In addition to her parents, Teesha was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Matthew Staniewicz; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gerard and Barbara Amoroso; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nicholas and Judith Stella Amoroso; her niece, Alexandra Page.

Family and friends will gather on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at from 1 to 5 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Joachim Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon.
